AMPRO pursues its Halal Consultancy mission through AMPRO Halal Consultancy Pte Ltd in strategic partnership with ARK Incorporation Singapore to undertake halal auditing and related consultancy.
Key Functions:
• AMPRO Halal Consultancy conducts halal consultancy for local companies to secure halal certification from the Singapore Islamic religious authority.
• AMPRO Halal Consultancy has formed a subsidiary company, ARK Halal Certification Authority Ltd (AHCA) in Leeds United Kingdom to offer halal auditing, certification, education and training on the importance of halal for food manufacturers in UK and Europe.
• The ARK Halal Certification Authority Ltd has an international Shariah Panel comprising members from the UK, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore that will offer guidance and rulings on the halal requirements and halal certifications of products and manufacturing plants or premises. • Under this strategic partnership, AMPRO and ARK Incorporation have initiated the International Association of Halal Auditors (IAHA) with its office based in Singapore. IAHA will have IAHA Chapters in Indonesia and Malaysia as well as other countries in the region and beyond.
• AMPRO acts as IAHA’s Secretariat and is responsible to advance and safeguard best practices in halal standards globally. Members of IAHA come from several countries in Asia, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the United States. In playing its role, IAHA will conduct basic and advanced training courses on halal auditing and halal assurance system. Another important function is to develop halal quality standards that will become an accepted benchmark globally in the near future.
• AMPRO Halal Consultancy is led by Imran Musa and co-led by Ismail Ibrahim who is also CEO of IAHA. Other team members include Alfie Said, Khalis Imran and Yuhidar Abdullah.
